Who wrote the bible and why do we follow it today?

Now that I live in a "Bible Belt" community, I need to understand what these people are relying upon, or fearing in their use of a century old book within are many books written by men only.

Spiritual or religious. Both beliefs are ways of living through a guide, a journey of awakening. Awakening which is merely a new way to look at life.

If you choose spirituality, you are seemingly a person who receives a broad, subjective, and intangible concept for your personal empowerment. A personal quest for the meaning of life. Spirituality is centered on your inner growth and doesn't require blind faith in religious doctrines. Spirituality offers your way, to heal, to understand, to contemplate issues in resolve.

Whereas, religious beings are formed by way of an organization entity with rituals and practices that focus on a higher power or a God.

However, religion offers books to read, to guide you through life, a journey of awakening as well as spirituality, yet it is very controlled by male beings. Albeit, there are many all female congregations the majority and history has depicted, men run the Bible. Apostles, they were men.

Epistles written by Jude, in the bible among all the other men, Moses, Peter, St. Paul, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, the list goes on. These "men" whom we have no image of wrote these epistles to guide, to direct and to shame people into one way of living. Stating there's only one way to journey and that is through "God".

But whose God? How do we know it's Luke's God?, St. Paul's God? Moses' God? Give be a real reason to guide myself into an awakening journey for self-preservation when I am told there is a mindless "God" or Dog spelt backward, that is leading the world into destruction.

How many wars have been started due to religion? Way too many. This cannot be ignored any longer as we sit to contemplate our times in this 21st century. Find your true spirit not the local tax-exempt collection taker's cathedral.

I'll show you more peaceful humans all due to their spirituality journey.

Then I'll show you more disturbed, conspiring, immoral, illegal humans that grew up or are in belief of a "God" that guides them on a daily basis.

Aside from some people that are the exception, you make the choice, you live with the consequences. What is your commitment in life and why?

Write your own story, make it true to your humanity and follow that with greatness of consequences.

After the Summer's Gone

The summer of 2024 is ending and I have made one of the largest decisions of my life!

Leaving a career is a timely event, or should be but that's just what I did. I fully believe in making connections to your feelings, listening to yourself truly is how decisions are best created.

I decided that since I had started my career pretty much as a single yet married woman back in 2001 and became a fully-single career woman by 2011  I could make the decision to retire when my feelings were understood by me. No influence, just how I felt, where I was in life, how I got there, and what do I expect moving forward, like the next day.

I had built a career, not only through experience but financially I was as ready as can be. Of course, as a single woman, my wages were lower than the common man, therefore I did need to create assets with help from an advisor, and mind you, not just any advisor one can pick from an Instagram advertisement.  Women must be ready-smart thinking ahead of event that can happen great or not. Women's opportunities are threatened all along the career paths. It's universal.

So, I saved, I bought, I sold, I bought again and now I am closer to happiness than I ever thought I could be.

The decisions I made and created through by growing days, many of ignorance via bribery or just plain following the path of least resistance, gave me 2 people in my world I can always rely upon.

That is where I landed as the summer's going into another season, I am in a new place, a new land, a new philosophy I must adjust to, or understand, or find my own way to live in this place. So far so good. I refuse to ignore the obvious oppressions, omissions, and illimitations. There is always a place to improve.
